What this page covers
China to USA shipping on this site means freight that starts in China and is delivered in the United States. Shenzhen Shibida Cross-border Supply Chain Co., Ltd. arranges the move. We do not publish a rate index, and we do not claim to operate U.S. terminals, a U.S. office, or a company warehouse in the United States. The steps from your email to a written number are on how we prepare a quote. When the facts are ready, use Request a Shipping Quote.
Ocean or air
Start with the date the cargo must be in the United States, then the size of the shipment. Ocean costs less per kilo on most commercial cargo and takes longer. Air costs more and is the practical choice when a late delivery is more expensive than the freight. Neither mode has a standing rate on this site.
| Question | Ocean | Air |
|---|---|---|
| Cargo that usually fits | Cartons, pallets, and full containers | Urgent, higher-value, or smaller lots |
| How time is counted | Weeks, plus pickup, customs, and delivery | Days, plus pickup, customs, and delivery |
| How it is priced | Per container (FCL) or by volume and weight (LCL) | Chargeable weight, actual or dimensional |
| On this site | No standing rate. See ocean freight. | No standing rate. See air freight. |
We will not tell you a door-to-door day count until a carrier has space for that booking.
How a shipment runs
The same skeleton covers ocean and air. The written quote says which steps are included.
- 1
Origin in China
Pickup at the supplier, or delivery to a port or airport, as the quote specifies.
- 2
Export and booking
Commercial documents and the ocean or air booking. We ask if a fact is missing.
- 3
Main carriage
The vessel or the flight named on the booking. The carrier supplies the conveyance.
- 4
U.S. customs
Broker coordination when the entry needs a licensed broker. We are not that broker.
- 5
Delivery
A dock, warehouse, or Amazon fulfillment center, only when the quote includes that leg.
FCL or LCL
FCL (full container load) means your cargo uses the container.LCL (less than container load) means the cargo shares a container for the ocean leg. Sharing the box adds handling at both ends. If you are between the two, send the carton count and ask us to price both. The comparison table is on theocean freight page.
Door-to-door
Door-to-door shipping from China to the USA means the quote covers pickup in China through delivery in the United States. The trucks, the vessel or aircraft, and the destination delivery are booked for that shipment. Door-to-door does not mean Shibida owns those trucks, vessels, or warehouses, and it does not by itself decide who pays import duty.
You can also ask for port to port or airport to airport. Say which version you want. Duty responsibility is the DDP versus DAP question on theDDP shipping page.
DDP and DAP
DAP (Delivered at Place) and DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) are Incoterms published by theInternational Chamber of Commerce. In plain language, DAP means delivery is arranged to a named place and the buyer usually handles import duty. DDP means the price is meant to include delivery and those duties.
Either term can be on a Shibida quote. The written quote states which charges are in the number. We do not estimate duty on this website, and this site does not say that Shibida is the U.S. importer of record. ReadDDP shipping from China to the USA.
Amazon FBA
Inbound delivery to an Amazon fulfillment center can be part of the quote. Include the warehouse code if Amazon has already assigned one. Labeling and the delivery appointment are in scope only when the quote says so. Details are onAmazon FBA shipping from China.
Shipping cost
A China-to-USA number is built from freight, origin charges, destination charges, and, when the term is DDP, duties and taxes. Fuel and peak-season add-ons show up when the carrier is applying them. Categories, not prices, are onshipping cost from China to the USA.
Oversized cargo
Long, tall, or heavy pieces are quoted one shipment at a time. Send length, width, height, and weight for each piece, and say whether it is crated. We do not advertise a special-equipment fleet.
Customs coordination
When the U.S. entry needs a licensed customs broker, we coordinate that broker as part of the job. Shibida is not presented here as a U.S. customs broker, and no FMC license is claimed. We do not give classification advice on this page. For how U.S. Customs and Border Protection describes the import process, seeCBP basic importing and exporting. That page is orientation. It is not a filing we make for you.
Final mile
Delivery to a commercial dock, a warehouse, or an FBA facility can be included when the quote covers it. Residential stops, liftgates, and limited-access buildings change the price, so they belong in the request. Final mile is a delivery we arrange. It is not a claim that we own a U.S. warehouse.
What a complete request includes
- Supplier city, pickup address, or China port
- U.S. city and ZIP, or an FBA warehouse code if Amazon has assigned one
- What the goods are, plus a commercial invoice and a packing list if you already have them
- HS code if you already know it (this list is not classification advice)
- Carton or pallet count
- Dimensions and weight, if you have them
- When the cargo will be ready
- Incoterms preference if you already know it (DDP, DAP, or not sure)
- Special handling: batteries, liquids, wood packaging, a residential stop, or a liftgate

FAQ
How long does China to USA shipping take?
Ocean is usually counted in weeks and air in days, before pickup, export, U.S. customs, and delivery. Shibida does not publish a door-to-door day guarantee. The quote names the range the carrier is selling for that booking.
What documents does a China to USA shipment need?
A commercial invoice and a packing list are the usual start. If you know the HS code, include it. We will say if a shipment needs more before it can be booked. This page is not classification advice.
What is the difference between FCL and LCL?
FCL means your cargo uses the container. LCL means it shares a container for the ocean leg and is separated before delivery. If the volume sits between those two, ask for both quotes. We do not publish a cubic-meter cutoff.
What is the difference between DDP and DAP?
DAP arranges delivery to a named place, and the buyer usually handles import duty. DDP is meant to include delivery and those duties in the price. The written quote states which charges are included. Shibida is not the U.S. importer of record unless that role is written into the quote or the contract.
Can you ship to an Amazon FBA warehouse?
Inbound delivery to an Amazon fulfillment center can be quoted. Send the fulfillment-center code if Amazon has assigned one. This site does not claim an Amazon Service Provider Network badge or a Shibida-owned prep warehouse.
Why is there no China to USA shipping price on this page?
Carrier prices move with the lane, the season, and the space on a given booking. A number published here would go stale. The number that matters is the written quote.
Do you operate U.S. ports or a U.S. office?
No. Ports and airports named on this site are places we are often asked to quote. Shibida does not claim a U.S. office, a company-owned U.S. warehouse, or an FMC license.
